Den Boer Fiscale dienstverlening · Version October 2026
This is an English translation of the Dutch privacy statement (Privacyverklaring). In case of any differences, the Dutch version prevails.
Den Boer Fiscale dienstverlening handles your personal data with care. In this privacy statement you can read which data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch: AVG).
1. Who is responsible?
Den Boer Fiscale dienstverlening, established in Amersfoort and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 93881274, is the controller for the processing of your personal data. You can reach us at info@denboerfiscaal.nl.
2. Which personal data do we process?
Depending on the service we provide to you, we process the following data:
- name, address, place of residence, telephone number and email address;
- date of birth, citizen service number (BSN) and details from your identity document;
- details of your partner, children and other family members, insofar as necessary for your tax return or advice;
- financial and tax data, such as income, assets, debts, bank details, annual income statements, tax assessments and correspondence with the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst);
- data relating to your business, accounts and employer;
- special categories of data, such as medical expenses or information about a disability, only if these are necessary for a deduction and you provide them to us yourself;
- data you enter in the contact form on our website.
We only use the BSN where the law permits this, such as when filing tax returns.
3. Why do we process your data?
- Performance of the engagement: to prepare tax returns, give tax advice, keep accounts and conduct objection and appeal procedures.
- Legal obligations: such as client due diligence under the Dutch Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft) and the statutory tax retention obligation.
- Contact: to answer questions you ask by email, telephone or through the contact form.
- Invoicing: to invoice our work and process payments.
- Legitimate interest: to ensure our services and website function properly and are secure.
4. How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep your data longer than necessary. We keep files and administrative records for at least 7 years because of the statutory tax retention obligation. We keep client due diligence data for 5 years after the end of the business relationship, as required by the Wwft. Messages sent through the contact form that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 1 year.
5. Sharing with others
We never sell your data to third parties. We only share your data if this is necessary for the performance of the engagement or to comply with a legal obligation, for example with the Belastingdienst. We also use service providers, such as our hosting provider and suppliers of accounting and tax filing software. Where necessary, we conclude a data processing agreement with these parties, so that your data is protected to the same standard.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use, such as secure connections (SSL), password protection, two-factor authentication and restricted access to files. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured, please contact us.
7. Cookies and external services
Our website only uses functional cookies that are necessary for the site to work properly. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. To display fonts, the website may use Google Fonts, in which case your IP address may be passed on to Google.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or have your personal data deleted. You may also object to the processing, have the processing restricted or have your data transferred. You can send a request to info@denboerfiscaal.nl. We may ask you to identify yourself and will respond within 4 weeks. Data that we are legally required to retain cannot be deleted before the end of the retention period.
9. Complaints
If you have a complaint about the way we handle your data, please let us know. If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy statement. The most recent version is always available on this page.
